Flavorful Foods and
Wonderful Wines Join the maestros of epicurean delight from Mount Hope Estate & Winery as they offer up some savory new treats for spring and summer. The chefs of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire’s Swashbuckler Brewpub & Eatery will be hosting gourmet “Cooking & Wine” demonstrations to share their tips and secrets for creating a culinary masterpiece. The food and wine demonstrations will take place Saturdays starting February 16th and running through April 26th , plus February 18, President’s Day, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mount Hope Wine Gallery on Route 340 just west of the village of Intercourse in Lancaster County. The chefs will reveal how they produce their culinary concoctions and offer free samples to the cooking-with-wine-curious. Swashbuckler chefs will demonstrate and prepare different items from their mastery. Some of the highlighted recipes include Marinated Hanger Steak with Sundried Tomato Horseradish Sauce which features the Mount Hope Cabernet Sauvignon; Pancetta Pork with Blackberry Maple Chipolte Sauce featuring the Mount Hope Blackberry Wine, and Blueberry Chutney made with Mount Hope Blueberry Wine. To conclude the day of cooking and tasting at the Gallery, attendees will be provided free recipe cards featuring the day’s gourmet treats. New recipes will be featured each month highlighting Mount Hope’s flavorful wines. While you are there you may also take part in the complimentary wine sampling of the vast Mount Hope wine collection.
